# Installing from unknown sources

In order to install the application after downloading it, you have to enable installation from your unknown sources.

# Getting ready to share files

Once the application is installed the next thing you need to do is connect your and the receiver device with the same network.
You can do this in two ways

1. Create a hotspot network on sender's device.
Ask the receiver to connect with the wifi network created by your device to receive the files.
2. Keep sender and receiver on same wifi network
The receiver's and sender's device should be connected to same wifi network in order to send and receive the file, make sure both devices are on same network.

# Receiving the file

Once the file is picked to be sent, you will see a receiving address highlighted with green.

# Receiving in online and offline modes

Even though the files are received locally i.e. without internet, still you will see two modes to receive.
The difference between the two modes are that while doing transfer in online-mode you require internet connectivity to ping the service worker so that the browser can have information regarding the details of file transfer. This allows your browser to display the details of how much file has been transferred in beautiful manner as can be seen below in the form of download status bar and download percentage "10%".
